How my journey began
I was born and raised in Santiago of Chile and now I’m based in New York City.
I’ve always felt that I’ve loved theatre and music, but my parents had more traditional interests for my life so I couldn't develop my career as a performer until I was a grown man.
I started to study Acting in Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile where I obtained my Bachelor Degree after five years in the School of Drama. While I was studying, musical theatre appeared in my life.
I saw that a very known company was seeking performers. I went to the audition and they liked what I did. It was a professional production of Jesus Christ Superstar and it was my first theatrical experience ever outside my School. I was 21 years old. I performed King Herod. I was part of that production for 10 years and besides Herod I performed Peter and for the last five years that I was there I also worked as the show’s Choreographer. That show changed my life.
Jesus Christ Superstar opened the doors for me and thanks to that show I had the honor of being cast for several other shows: I was in Man of La Mancha as Padre, in Beauty and The Beast as Lumiere, in Les Miserables as Thenardier and in many seasons of La Pergola de Las Flores, the most famous Chilean musical, as Pimpin Valenzuela, The Mayor Alcibiades and Pierre.
At the same time to my performer career, I have been driving a path as a Director. Together with my husband Pablo Concha (at that time only my boyfriend) we founded a theatrical company named La Pianola where I have directed several shows as La Pergola de Las Flores, El Ultimo Viaje de San Pablo, No Es Gratis El Amor (book and lyrics by myself), among others.
In the meantime I was discovering the magical world of musicals, I started to take dance lessons in Jazz, Modern and Contemporary dance and Tango. I fell in love with Tango and I especialized in this beautiful dance with Francisca Infante who is a very known and prestigious dancer and teacher in Chile. Besides learning Tango with Francisca after a while we both did classes where we taught it together.
I was lucky to meet Pablo Concha in 2013. He is a musician, pianist, composer, singer and actor with an interest in Musical Theater just like me. And the kindest person in the world. Together we founded the Company La Pianola, specialized in Musical Theater, where we have deepened in this genre. We also created our first original musical, No Es Gratis El Amor (Love Is Not For Free), with Music by Pablo and Book and Lyrics by myself.
We were working together and at the same time we started dating and then we got married in October 2016. We admire mutually and we have created a strong connection with the music and the arts and we are sure that our future creations will be only beautiful and sincere pieces of art.
